Uncharted Realms

A blur between sleep and wake.

I don’t blame Tobias for this. He showed me the gateway to a world I’d never imagined. Lucid dreaming, he called it. A journey not just into the mind, but into realms uncharted. It was mesmerizing, a lure I couldn't resist.

The sedatives, they weren't a blur between sleep and wakefulness; I knew the difference well. They were my conduit to deeper, more vivid dreamscapes. In those dreams, I encountered the Numen, a collective consciousness, an echo of a once-unified existence.

Shards, yearning to reunite

I came to believe something profound about dreams: they are glimpses of our true state, visions of a shared consciousness fragmented by an ancient battle. We, now mere shards, yearning to reunite, to find our way back to that primordial wholeness.

My art began to reflect this journey, this quest. 'Dreams are battles' – this wasn't just a saying; it became my creed. Each dream was a piece of the puzzle, fueling my creativity, guiding my brush.

Addiction

Every night, I step into this resolving world where extraordinary scenes just come to life. It’s like each dream is a gateway to something breathtaking. When I wake, there’s this immediate urge to transfer these ephemeral visions onto canvas, to make them real before they evaporate with the morning light. These aren't just dreams; they feel like fragments of another reality, begging to be preserved in our world. They’re so transient, so quick to vanish – if I don’t paint them right away, they might be lost forever.

It’s like a race against time to bring these vivid, elusive glimpses from the resolving world into the tangible, waking world. Looks like the sedatives help with remembering the details. For me, it’s not about the process, it's about the preservation of these fleeting wonders for my art.
